The UP Bannuar conducts Annual Ilocos Great
Debate Seminar and Tournament to furnish students with the ability to
debate. In this regard the Pangasinan National High School are
invited to participate in this worthwhile endeavor. The seminar covers at
least the basics of Oregon-Oxford Debate and the Asian Parliamentary
Debate. Separate seminars are done for both advisers and students.

KATAFIL ORGANIZATION OBJECTIVES: 1. To unite all the teachers, coordinators, supervisors and head teachers of FILIPINO in DECS Pangasinan I. 2. To improve and protect the rights of all the organizers of the said organization. 3. To be prepared in solving problems concerning Filipino. 4. To emphasize unity among the members as brothers and sisters in the organization. 5. To be proud that we are called Filipino in thoughts, words, and deeds. 6. To manage competitions in literature and music during the celebration of “Buwan ng Wika”.

YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS and COOPERATIVES of the SCHOOL (YECS
IN DepEd) Programs
and Objectives: Generally,
the program aims to: A.
Develop and activate a culture of excellence in entrepreneurship and
cooperativism among high school students: B.
Promote the value of cooperation and spirit of teamwork, through the
formation of small entrepreneurs; C.
Help alleviate poverty and encourage long-range economics developments in
the country side through career enhancement programs and provide
alternative measures for income generations: D.
Make basic guidelines available for the development of basic skills in
planning and operating a business and also, for an effective groundwork of
a business plan. Specifically,
the program is designed to: A.
Institutionalize entrepreneurship and cooperative clubs which will
eventually be converted into laboratory cooperatives among public and
private high school nationwide by establishing networks with private and
government agencies having expertise in these fields; B.
Encourage creativity and proper attitude among students toward business
opportunities by providing them specialized training and assistance; C.
Expose the students to the advances in different related industries for
them to create a base for their own businesses. Expected
Milestones|Output: After
the first year of implementation of the YECS, it is hoped that: -
all the planned activities have been carried out successfully at
minimum cost and maximum gains; -
the YECS members have learned all the theorical basics of
entrepreneurship and cooperatives; -
the YECS members have applied these concepts through their pilot
projects; -
the YECS as a whole attracts the supports of the government and the
private sector to assist YECS members in their business activities; -
a majority of the YECS members have imbibed the needed attitudes
and skills that sufficiently motivate them to become entrepreneurs and
cooperators; the relevance of entrepreneurship and cooperatives in the economy is once again highlighted in the country.
